Mr. Kim Pate completed his
studies in Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto and began his real
estate career in Ontario as a sales representative in 1986.
Within two years he joined a Toronto-based appraisal firm,
completing appraisals on residential, industrial, and commercial
properties. In 1992, he obtained the CRA designation with the
Appraisal Institute of Canada, and in 1995, joined the team at
MacKay Real Estate.
An Appraisal Institute of Canada designation is not awarded, but
earned after a rigorous program of education courses and
supervised appraisal experience. A designated member has full
liability coverage and is required to provide a completely
objective opinion of value, independent of any other business
interests. For these reasons, their appraisals are accepted by
Canadian lenders, as well as judicial and regulatory bodies.
